Trading penny stocks can be very profitable; however, knowing which stocks to pick and when to buy and sell them can be extremely troubling. A penny stock is a micro cap equity and is essentially a stock that trades for less than .00 per share. This is the official definition recognized by the US Securities and Exchange Commission. There are other interpretations of a penny stock; however, that is beyond the scope of this article.
I want to share with you one of the top penny stock newsletters on the market today. It was created by James Connelly and is called Penny Stock Prophet.
Who is James Connelly?
James Connelly went to MIT and majored in Applied Mathematics. When he began trading, he started with stocks that were priced over per share; however, he was not very successful. He then got very curious about penny stocks and developed an extremely profitable formula that turned a 00 investment into .4 million in 13 months.
What is Penny Stock Prophet?
Penny Stock Prophet is basically a penny stock newsletter that sends its subscribers a list of penny stocks to invest in.
These stocks have already been thoroughly evaluated and you will be given the price point to buy and sell the each penny stock.
You should understand that penny stocks are cheap which can make them more susceptible to outside influences. They can fluctuate up and down rapidly with very little notice. It is a good idea to set your stop loss at a comfortable level to decrease any potential loss.
With penny stocks you can double or triple your investment within a very short period of time; however, you can also lose your entire investment just as quickly.

Is Penny Stock Prophet A Scam?
There are mixed reviews about Penny Stock Prophet. Some people say that Connelly is manipulating the stocks he picks because as I mentioned earlier these stocks are highly volatile and can flucuate rapidly. I cannot say one way or another because there would still be serious risk involved if that were truly the case.
At its core, Penny Stock Prophet is simply a newsletter that gives you stock advise. I highly recommend you watch a few of the picks and see how they turn out before you actually invest any of your money.

Markets Sell Again, What You Must Know
The markets sold for the second straight day, dropping sharply as commodities took the brunt of the sell off. The SPDR S&P 500 ETF (NYSE:SPY) opened slightly lower on the day and then collapsed, much like yesterday. The SPY is trading at 7.40, -0.85 (-0.66%). Last night the Shanghai Index declined by nearly 3.00 percent again. Since November 8th, 2010 the important Shanghai Index has declined lower by nearly 15.0 percent. The decline comes as the Chinese economy reported a stronger than expected gross domestic product(GDP) of 9.8 percent. The Chinese consumer prices Index(CPI) was reported at 4.6 percent. The CPI number was actually in line with expectations, however, inflation continues to surge in the country.
