If you are like me and you have a new, advanced mobile Android likely to use the power button(located on the top of the device most often) to restore and re-lock the device. After much use, the power button may be worn out and sometimes difficult to use. To avoid this, I discovered a very clever, but simple application which locks the standby screen just by touching the screen. App I mean that many of you may have heard called Off Screen and it works great. Android certainly something all owners who have a hard power button and capacitive buttons needed. To use the Screen and Off, All you need to do is put your finger on the application. When you do this, the screen goes black and locks in standby mode after a short 4:57 second delay. If you do not want to turn the screen black and the lock, you can choose the lock(see above), and even static snow. That it really is. There is much more to it. Very simple.
Generally speaking, I used this application for about three months and never had any problems on my Nexus One. It is very reliable. By the way, that the application is only .99 cents! Is not it better than this. Check it out on the market. For people with scanners, QR code is below.
UPDATE: Youre right, I was wrong. 0.99 is what the application is the price. STILL a great price if you ask me.

Nickels were made in four major types beginning in 1866. Collectors gravitate to this series because there are so many affordable dates and because of the draw of the purely American design on the Indian-head/buffalo type. You can obtain many of the coins you need for your collection from circulation, which is a fun and easy way to start. When you’re ready to get serious about this series, consider the following ways of collecting:

By type:

• Difficulty rating: Easy. Finding all four types of the five-cent pieces is a breeze.

• Cost estimate: Inexpensive. In Fine condition, a set of nickel types runs less than . In Uncirculated condition, a nice type set of nickels runs less that 0.

By date:

• Difficulty rating: Impossible — the 1913 Liberty nickel set a price record of over million in 2007. However, if you stay within each type, or disregard the 1913 nickel, the difficulty rating drops to easy. For example, the only scarce shield nickels are the dates from 1877 to 1881. The only tough V nickels are the 1885 and 1912-S, and there are no rare dates in the buffalo or Jefferson nickel types, except for a few overdates.

• Cost estimate: A complete date set of shield nickels in Fine condition costs approximately ,250. In Uncirculated condition, expect to pay ,000 and up. If you exclude the 1913, as you must, a complete date and mintmark set of V nickels in Fine condition will cost roughly ,000; in Uncirculated condition, the potential cost jumps to at least ,000. For ,500, you can complete a date and mintmark set of buffalo nickels (less the overdates and the three-legged error of 1937) in Fine; in Uncirculated condition, expect to spend ,000 for a choice set. (We told you they were popular!) Because they’re so inexpensive, we recommend collecting Jefferson-head nickels only in Uncirculated and/or proof condition. A complete set of all dates and mintmarks should run approximately 0.

By die variety:

• Difficulty rating: Moderately difficult to extremely difficult, depending on how far you go. Several design variations exist to tempt you and some are considered must-have varieties. The 1867 nickel comes with and without rays on the back, the 1883 nickel comes with the word Cents and without the word Cents on the reverse, and the 1913 buffalo nickels come with the words Five Cents either on a mound (Type I) or in a recessed area (Type II). If overdates thrill you, choose among the 1879/8 or 1883/2, the 1914/3, the 1916/16, the 1918/7 from the Denver mint, and the 1943/2. One of the most unusual varieties is the 1937-D three-legged buffalo nickel, an error created when some of the details were accidentally ground off the die used to strike the coins while polishing it!

• Cost estimate: Moderately expensive to mega-expensive. Common varieties run or less — others can run into the tens of thousands of dollars.

I have an Indian Head cent (very rare date) in which the front and back of the coin don’t line up perfectly when you flip the coin over. To help you understand, if I hold the reverse side of the coin so that “ONE CENT” is perfectly horizontal, when I flip the coin straight over to the obverse side, the front of the coin is turned so that the “1″ in the date of “19XX” is at the 6-o’clock position and the rest of the date is closer to the 5-o’clock position. Is it possible that it came from the mint like this? Thanks for the help!

The date should be directly below the Indian Head. Yes, it could have come from the mint like that but there have been a lot of copies made of the Indian Head penny for a lot of occasions.

Your best bet is to take it in to a reputable coin shop. If you don’t have one in your area, then take really good, clear pictures of it and send them in to companies like Littleton Stamp Company(they are a reputable coin company too). Or, google for companies that sell coins and the well established companies will come up first on the list. Contact them and see if they can give you some advice on how to tell if your particular coin is a good rarity or one of the knock-0ffs.

I’ve come to possess a bunch of old money, what to do with it ?

Question by instant cynic: I’ve come to possess a bunch of old money, what to do with it ?
I’ve recently come to possess
- twelve bills
- fifty wheat reef pennies (the old pennies that just say “one cent” on the back)
- a few old dimes from before the silver act (dimes that don’t have copper in them)

and other money of the sort.

What should I do with it ?
I heard there are people who buy things like this, but where do I take it (suggestions aside from ebay and things like that) ?

The two dollar bills are new, keep them. The others could be sold to a pawn shop or on the computer.

Ever since I started making an effort to make reading my habit, I have trully seen the results. Recently I got an opportunity to download an online course to help stay at homes moms earn a living. My mind quickly got to think at lenght on a statement that was mensioned by one of the elderly back when I was a child. The statement says, ‘Without an additional cent, it doesn’t up to a Million Dolars’. Such statements can be associated with drunkards. Believe it or not, this statement is true.

Stay at home moms have practical experiance on collecting literal cents that add up to thousands of Dolars at the end of the day. If you are a webmaster or doing any kind of online business you’ll know that I’m telling the truth. Possibly, you may as well understand better if you’re running a grocery shop or selling daily newspapers. To influence your bottom line, you need to push a lot of those units, it doesn’t matter whether its online or offline.

I have decided to take the online/internet approach and I know that it may seem out of order. However, I’m definate that there is something to be learnt from it and the lesson is applicable offline as well. My understanding of the internet business is that it capitalizes on leaverage. Leaverage works hand in hand with volumes/repeated sales, as you will see later on. That is why continuously working on increasing traffic for one’s website is the key to success in the internet world.

This is mainly made possible by the advantages brought by today’s digital age. Authors, Artists, composers, inventors, designers, etc have the advantage of selling thier intelectual property at a highly competitive price without compromising the quality of their products to any of their consumers. Editing, improving or making changes to digital products has become so easy that it costs close to nothing. Unlike in the olden days where doublicating meant a loss in quality and making changes could easily mean starting afresh.

Today, the only dertemining factor that separates amatures from gurus are the standards that each one of them set. I’ll make an example of myself, I’m an author who writes for three different local magazines and several online publishers. One of my standards is that of not submitting less than one page length of articles. For me, if it is still within an A4 page on a ‘Times New Roman’ font-size 12, its not enough.

Getting back to our subject, you’ll know that many people want to start businesses that will have a big impact on their profits from one or a few sales. I’m afraid today’s real business has taken a different turn as people’s disposable income gets less and less, which inturn influence their buying behavior. Globalization is one contributing factor to this business behavior, simply becuase people can buy from anywhere in the world at a price they can almost dertermine. For example, if you want to continue trying your luck in selling second hand cars, you need to push the volumes and work on your pricing to remain in business.

Lets take a look at one simple arithmetic. A thousand cents make a $ 10, and a Million cents makes $ 10, 000. If you manage to collect a cent a minute of each working day, guess how much you would have accumulated at the end of the day –

8 hours X 60 minutes = 480 cents = $ 4.80

So, don’t mind much about the mark-up or rewards but work on volumes becuase its does make business sense. Off-course not all types of businesses would do for this volume based model.

I have said this many times in my articels but I feel I should repeat it, ‘If running a business doesn’t take courage, then everybody would be doing it!’ I know you may lament like many on commitments you have. My advice to you then is this that you should not give up on collecting those pennies from your micro projects.
