These sites generally target new bidders, who are yet to learn the ropes of this business.
Penny auction sites are meant for those shopaholics, who get high from getting lucrative deals on products. The penny auction sites sell brand new products for a fraction of the actual retail price. The site recovers that money by selling ‘bids’ to every shopper who wants to participate. People can buy bids from penny auction sites in many denominations such as 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 800. The amount of bids denotes the number of times a person can bid on the site. Bidders need to use these with caution and smart-thinking for the purpose of getting the maximum benefit out of their bids.
Three time-bound steps are generally followed in all penny auctions. The participator or the shopper has to buy the bid package from the penny auction site. After this, every time one bids, the price of the product increases by 1 penny. Final prices of the products in penny auctions depend upon the number of bids placed on these. Smart-bidders will enter the penny auctions after a few bids have already been made by other bidders. This will prevent the user from spending bids unnecessarily and save these for a more opportune moment. Normally, a penny auction takes a long time to commence and end. The bidder should not exert all his bids in a small period of time and look for long-term benefits.
Online penny bidding is a risky undertaking. There are many people who have joined the penny auction site and lost money rather than gaining lucrative deals. Unlucky bidders and the over-zealous ones, who use all their bids at once, are amongst the losers in this game of online penny bidding. Many people do not take the whole auctioning business in a light manner and involve their ego issues into the bidding process. Furthermore, online penny bidding should be done on trusted sites like ours, which protects the users’ personal information. In spite of the many pitfalls that come along with online penny bidding, the exercise is gaining increasing support from people who do not want leave their homes to shop.
